Since 2004, a central body of work has been a series of purely digital pieces, each one built from dozens or hundreds of individual images.  Their photographic appearance comes from being composed of raw data largely collected with a point-and-shoot camera.  Where some might stitch such images together seamlessly, I do not; making these by hand preserves aesthetic choices that are, for me, far more valuable.  Every juncture is considered on its own and in light of the larger composition, which is fundamentally more plastic than the photographic work I do.  With these pieces it is really quite accurate to say that I have returned to drawing again.
