NATIONAL STAGE FILING UNDER 35 USC 317
PTO Fees for filing National Stage under 37 USC 371 from a PCT (Patent Cooperation Treaty) vary depending upon which International Bureau was used for filing, and which performed the initial search report, etc.
The following Price Quotation is based on the assumption that the US was NOT the R/O or the ISA, and that applicant is a SMALL ENTITY. Note that PCT and USPTO fees change on a regular basis (periodic increases, as well as currency exchange adjustments) and thus the following Price quote is NOT a guarantee of Patent Fees.
1. Preparation of PTO FORM 1390 and associated filing Papers $ 500.00
2. Preparation of PRELIMINARY AMENDMENT to eliminate multiple
dependent claims, correct errors in idiomatic English, and the like, as
well as submit substitute Specification. $ 500.00
3. USPTO FILING FEE, SMALL ENTITY $ 530.00
4. Photocopying, Postage, and the like $ 25.00

NOTE: We STRONGLY SUGGEST a Preliminary Amendment
and/or Substitute Specification to eliminate any idiomatic English errors
and/or eliminate the $140 multiple dependent claim fee. Such a Preliminary Amendment will reduce
costs down the road for correcting minor problems in the application.
Also note that a signed Declaration and Power of Attorney is required in order to
avoid the $65 late fee and our fee of $150.
NATIONAL STAGE FEES MUST BE PAID AT THE TIME OF FILING. For this reason, we may require an advance
before taking on any National Stage cases.
In some instances a 100% advance may be required.
