Bruce's Guitars

Well, I've made a lot of progress since first creating this page.  I pampered myself at the beginning of 2001 with a new purchase of a Paul Reed Smith Custom 22 and LOVE it.   Smooth as silk and a challenge to live up to.  I've got all six strings on the Martin D-28L now and am pleased the C.F. Martin Co. stands by their promise to fix any problem FOR FREE, FOR LIFE.  It isn't as loud as my '74 Stratocaster or the Custom 22 but hands down it's the classiest guitar I've got.  Lately I've really been focusing on the Custom 22 and am ready to rock and roll with any interested players out there within a decent radius.  Anyway, there's a ton of us out there -- middle-aged rockers who keep doodling somewhere in the house with the guitar and amp, or whatever it is you're used to playing with.  We had the common sense years ago (go figure!) to get a paying job instead of continuing to bang our heads against the wall trying to "make it big".  But if we could only make money playing...

My amp is a Line6 AX2 212.  Very picky and worth every minute spent on it.  Despite the criticisms you'll read, I say there's no other amp in its class.  Respect it as a bit difficult and it will reward you....

I lean towards the blues but can bend towards R 'n' R and country as well.  Let me know who you are, where you live and who knows, maybe down the road we make some noise together.  I'm interested in hearing especially from guitarists, and the trials and tribulations you have getting your six strings to do what you want them to do.  It IS the strings that are the problem, right?

Go ahead...drop me a line!

Let's go Home!
